Edgar Eduardo Mejía Viruete (born July 27, 1988) also known as El Chore, is a Mexican footballer. He currently plays as a defensive midfielder for Estudiantes Tecos on loan from Chivas de Guadalajara.
Mejia made his professional debut in the first week of the Clausura 2006 tournament against Toluca. From there on Mejia has been playing more frequently with Chivas, on the Clausura 2007 he has earned a starting position over Patricio Araujo. On May 23, 2011 his transfer was confirmed on loan for 1 year to Estudiantes Tecos.
